Sandra Sillamaa Estonian bagpipes, soprano saxophone, Jew’s harp, whistles
Sandra is an accomplished player of bagpipes and other traditional wind instruments, thoroughly versed in the tradition of Estonian bagpipes, enriching the band’s sound with a folk feel. Sandra has played the bagpipes since she was 13, and later learned various kinds of whistle, Jew’s harp and soprano saxophone. At this point she is a performer with hardly an equal in her generation. Her debut album was released in 2005. She studies at the Royal Music Academy in Stockholm, and has improved herself through studies in Belgium, Denmark and the Ivory Coast.
